Cascade Clamps - Cascade Manufacturing Company was founded in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943. They started out as a small machine shop in the beginning employing four individuals. Product sales for their initial year of operation totaled 60 thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless steel pipe fittings, valves and various parts. Within 5 years of operation, the company had expanded to forty employees and their annual sales volume had increased to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. Nowadays, Cascade is amongst the top global producers in the material handling business.

Design and manufacturing of the company's first hydraulic cylinder allowed this new business to aggressively pursue new business possibilities. All through the last sixty years, the trade of material handling has grown into a really advanced field with Cascade proudly playing a part in its progress. Cascade at present continues to develop as the premier supplier of forklift attachments and various related items. In the nineteen fifties, Cascade started designing, manufacturing and selling hydraulic attachments. Manufacturing was finished in the year 1956 on a new facility to house all the office and plant operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's current center of operations. After 15 years of business, total employees reached a hundred and eighty employees and sales had reached almost 2.3 million dollars.

A second production plant was built in 1959 in Springfield, Fremont. nineteen sixty marked Cascade's preliminary transfer into the international world of the material handling industry when the business established interest in England, Australia, and the Netherlands.

The business changed its name to Cascade Corporation in the year 1964. In the year 1965, Cascade went public with a preliminary offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. The business has expanded its production facilities throughout the U.S. with areas in Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Fremont. Cascade merchandise are made worldwide because of a lot of subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a brand new facility was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European headquarters. This plant is made to be the essential customer support centre.

Continuing to develop, Cascade expanded their product offering further in 1996 and 1997 with the impressive acquisition of five companies, along with the global best in blades, the Kenhar Corporation.
